I think I’ve always been a DVR addict, even before I got one — I used to use our old VHS player to record my favorite television shows. I definitely think life would be better without the constant worry of running out of space on the DVR (just kidding, it isn’t constant), but I’m not there yet.

The puzzles do sound interesting as does this ‘turn the page’ reading thing you mentioned…

Loved the J & J movie – thought about our Julia the whole time. So glad to know that heredity doesn’t preclude excellence in cooking! My daughters are blazing trails left untravelled since your great-grandmothers!

When you say a scoop, do you mean a spoonful or a 1/4 cupful? Hhaha, J/k. I’m sure I can figure it out. I can’t believe Julia said measuring does matter in cooking. Baking, yes. Cooking, meh, not so much. I think the best cooks don’t measure and that’s the level I’ve always been working toward. I’ve heard the J & J book is good, too. Can’t wait to watch/read both!

I am so into wood vs paper…old charm – would look more “natural”…as natural as wood with scrolled writing on it. And, have you considered the monkeys…what will survive whatever they inflict on it’s being?
